Yesterday I bought a tiny box of Sees Chocolates. I was about to open the cute summer yellow box when a quiet nudge told me to give them to someone. I went home, put them in the fridge, then brought them with me when I went back to my office to see a client.
As I pulled into the side parking lot I saw my friend wandering. She’s the sweetest angel who manages the front office and I swear she’s the reason everyone leases space there. She was dazed and confused. I pulled up, rolled down my window and smilled but she still didn’t recognize me. You see, she’s in the throes of grief. Her mama, her best friend that she spoke with every single day, died unexpectedly.
I left the car running with door open and ran to greet her. She fell into my arms and wept like a baby. I held her, told her a few things that she probably won’t remember, and gave her that silly box of chocolates.
As she got into her car, she turned back and said, “God used you today.”
Lesson: Don’t be afraid to listen that still small voice.
When was the last time you heard God’s voice? Tell me about it.
“And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper.”
I Kings 19:12
